Sonnet VI: Queerness Brings Meaning to the Universe
...
Before any sole cosmos had begun
When you and I were floating specs of dust
Before we formed ourselves, we formed a trust
In orbit side by side around the sun
Amassing into planets, fast we spun
We grew up, then grew apart to adjust
Still something stayed the same beneath the crust
So we aligned now and then, one by one
My laughter echoes the Big Bang, a bit
When we sit telling jokes inside your car
Expanding wide enough to form all that we are
So void of air I choke on spit
And though my body’s path to this point feels immense
Your friendship makes all time and space make sense
